Thingwall, Wirral

About the Project

This garden was described as ‘unuseable’ by the client. Heavy clay soil and its sloping nature meant that nothing grew. A quagmire in winter and baked solid in summer. We removed around 60 tonnes of clay and replaced it with a free draining sub base with a lighter soil on top. We then seeded a native wildflower meadow and added a large wildlife pond. The transformation has been incredible, both to the clients ability to enjoy the garden and to the local wildlife!
